A useful practice project has a clear question, a suitable dataset and a baseline. For example, use public or synthetic data to compare a simple demand forecast with a trained model. Document the licence, split, metric and limitations so another person can assess your work.
These are illustrative practice goals, not a promise of a particular assessed course project. Ask which exercises and reviews are included in the current batch.
- Define the prediction target and when each input becomes available.
- Keep evaluation data separate and compare an appropriate baseline.
- Inspect errors, including cases where the model is confidently wrong.
- Package the prediction step and document how to reproduce the result.
